‘American Challenge’ Lee Jeong-hoo shares final greetings with home fans

Lee Jeong-hoo is scheduled to be substituted in the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League match against the Samsung Lions to be held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on the 10th.

Manager Hong Won-ki said, "He plans to go out at bat and play one inning on defense. I am concerned that his physical condition is not perfect yet, but he says he is fine. There are great concerns about his starting appearance, so I plan to send him out in the second half of the 8th inning."

Lee Jung-hoo recorded a batting average of 0.319, 6 home runs, 45 RBIs, and an OPS of 0.863 in 85 games this season. Unfortunately, he did not play the full season. This is because he suffered an ankle injury in the game against Lotte on July 22 and was put on the operating table.

He is currently completing his rehabilitation schedule. Lee Jeong-hoo said, "I am doing free betting. You can play in the first team game only after making a live bet and participating in the second team game, but I skipped all of that. I have made free bets about twice. It would be difficult to say 100%. “After the end of the season, I plan to go through a rehabilitation program step by step. There is no problem with running, and there is no pain at all. Rehabilitation seems to be going well,” he said about his current physical condition.

Today is the last time Lee Jeong-hoo says goodbye to his home fans. After this season ends, I will challenge the American stage through posting. So, we held a fan signing event before the game and exchanged greetings with the fans.

After the game starts, he plans to thank the fans again through one at-bat and defense in the second half of the game. Maybe it could be my last game in Korea.

Lee Jeong-hoo said, "I've been nervous since last night. I think I'm more nervous than my first debut game. And I'm very excited." He added, "I felt strange at the fans' words at the autograph session. 'Please don't forget,' 'I'll support you in the U.S. too,' ' “He said, ‘I will support you even when I go.’ I plan to accompany my team to the away game, so I plan to work hard with my teammates until the end.”
