How to Improve a Quasi-Lumped Slot

One of the most popular techniques used in frequency selective surfaces for multiband applications and polarization conversion is the quasi-lumped slot. In this design, the interdigital capacitance slot is reduced from a large size to a small one, increasing the slot's bandwidth. However, the proposed design suffers from poor gain and a single operating band.
