Are You Ready to Trust? - Teachings from This Moment Is Your Miracle

Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are always a large amount of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles out there, but there must be something that you've hooked into, or caught onto? A thing that triggered a transformation or a major healing. So, that which was it?”

“Trust,” I said.

Consider your lifetime as it appears to be nowadays in terms of the story. How can we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I believe my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who is my source?” So once we discuss the last stage to the awakening being pure trust, it's simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and rely upon many of these made-up concepts, beliefs and ideas in the world. It's similar to building a big house of cards, stacking using one card after the other. acim authors A good wind comes along and poof, it's only blown over. It can't even stand only a little gust of wind. It's so frail. It's so temporary. It's so transitory; It absolutely was this sense of placing rely upon the Spirit and withdrawing rely upon anything else; those issues that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we rely upon those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy?It really comes down seriously to the essence of who's my brother? Is it Spirit or matter? Is it Spirit or form? Furthermore how most of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried any particular one?So you are asking the question, “If someone dies or appears to be dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where all of this is heading would be to the awareness that everything is mental. What this awakening will reveal is that everything is mental and that everything is just a hallucination. That is a full world of ideas and what we call manifest reality, is not reality at all. There's no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to create his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the connection between thought and form. His lessons start with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I have given everything I see all this is it has for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way as much as number four, “These thoughts don't mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He's talking about thoughts. First He's talking about perception, then about our thoughts, then He comes back with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 ... perception, perception, perception, perception, perception ... and then number 10, “My thoughts don't mean anything.” You can see he's wanting to melt everything together and show the last veil or stage of awakening, that is trust.

 

The Holy Spirit uses time and energy to teach us there is no such thing as time, to take us back to that timeless moment that's the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to show us they are all illusions and they are all equally meaningless. That's precisely the approach to operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to work well with the mind to loosen the attachments from the investment in all kinds of things. What kind of things can you spend money on, nowadays?
