It is necessary to store the keys to your Hive account in a safe place, preferably more than one.
The quickest way to protect your keys is to use Buttercup Passwords and Secrets Manager, which is open-source, and has apps for Windows, MacOS, iPhone, Android, and of course, Linux.

Bitwarden, which is another excellent open-source password manager, that is available for Windows, MacOS, iPhone, Android, and Linux, also comes highly recommended.

I also recommend creating an account on MEGA which is zero-knowledge cloud storage with apps for desktop or mobile in most OSes. That way they can always be accessed, even if you don't keep them on your device:

I recommend Tutanota as well. I send myself an encrypted email with the keys from and to Tutanota, then store that email or emails in a folder:
